What hardware do I need?
An Android TV, or any TV with an Android media box plugged in. The player installs like any other app. Tizen, webOS, Windows, Fire TV and a web player are coming next.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The screen keeps playing. Content is stored on the device and schedules run locally, so a lost connection only means the screen shows as offline in your dashboard until it reconnects.
How do I connect a screen to my account?
Add a screen in SignaOrbit and you get a 6-character pairing code. Type that code into the player on the TV and the screen appears in your account, ready for content.
Can I control who publishes to our screens?
Yes. Build roles for your team, such as a designer who uploads, a manager who publishes and a store lead who only watches, and give each person exactly the permissions they need.
What file types can I upload?
JPG and PNG images and MP4 videos, up to 500 MB per file. Organise them in folders and reuse them across as many playlists as you like.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Paid plans are billed per screen, monthly or yearly. Invoices in Indian rupees include GST. If your account is billed in another currency, the invoice is issued in that currency without GST. You can see and download your invoices from the Billing page.
Can I sell ad slots on my screens?
Yes. Add your advertisers, book slots such as 10 seconds every 2 minutes on chosen cities, groups or screens, and SignaOrbit checks free airtime before it takes the booking. Each advertiser can get a login to follow their own campaigns and download a proof-of-play certificate.
Can I put an emergency message on every screen at once?
Yes. An emergency alert covers every playlist and ad on the screens you choose, within seconds on connected screens, and stays until you clear it or its timer runs out.
Is our content and data secure?
Yes. Traffic between the dashboard, the cloud and your screens is encrypted with a separate key for every session on top of HTTPS, each organisation's data is kept apart, and team roles decide exactly who can do what. You can also require a second person to approve new uploads and changes, scan uploads for unsafe images, undo a bad publish with one click and freeze publishing in an emergency.
